Keep Prior Lake Clean
Keeping the City's lakes, parks, roads and other areas clean is key to preserving its quality of life. That is one reason why the city provides a City Cleanup Day for residents. City Cleanup Day is usually scheduled in mid-April each year.
For other information about disposing of household goods or waste, check the links below.

Recycling
The emphasis for Cleanup Day is recycling; therefore, only certain items will be accepted for drop-off at the event. All residents of Prior Lake, Credit River Township and Spring Lake Township are welcome to attend (proof of residency must be provided).
The 2010 gate fee ($20) includes up to four passenger tires, one appliance, one electronic item, batteries, scrap metal and yard waste in one vehicle.
Large loads, trailers, non-recyclables and additional appliances and electronics will cost extra. All tires and fluids need to be removed from bikes, mowers, grills, etc, in order for the metal to be recycled. There will be additional fees if these materials are left intact. Call City Hall at (952) 447-9800 or Public Works at (952) 447-9830 for additional information.
Bridging
Residents can also drop off good-quality usable furniture and household goods for the Bridging program. Members of the Prior Lake Lions and Rotary clubs will be on hand to collect items to distribute to needy families. There is no charge to donate items to Bridging; however, only certain items are accepted. Please check with Bridging at (952) 447-1330, or www.bridging.org.
Hazardous Materials
The city does not collect household hazardous waste (paint, antifreeze, oil) at Clean-Up Day. To dispose of hazardous waste, please contact Scott County Environmental Health at (952) 496-8787 or www.co.scott.mn.us.
