| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS OF ENGINEERING |
What are the seasonal load limit restrictions on city streets?
The Minnesota Department of Transportation sets the effective dates for all seasonal load limits. The City has a street map that shows affected city streets. Please see the Public Works Streets page for more information.
Does the City repair damage to my property that was caused by a snow plow?
If your property was damaged by a city snow plow, call the Public Works Department at (952) 447-9830.
When will my street be rebuilt?
Each year the City Council approves a five-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Street reconstruction projects are identified in the CIP. City staff uses a Pavement Management System to determine which streets should be reconstructed or if other maintenance such as overlay or seal coating is adequate. To find out if your street is scheduled for reconstruction or overlay, call Public Works at 447-9830 or view the current CIP. |
