The Prior Lake Police Department is providing this webpage to help reunite pets and owners. This service is not equivalent to filing a police report for a missing animal.
To have a LOST or FOUND pet's information posted on this web page, send an email to Mike Peterson with "Lost & Found" in the subject line, or call (952) 447-9804. Include a photo (if possible) with information about when and where the pet was last seen, a description and contact information.
Each posting will remain for one year. Please report back if the missing pet is recovered or owner found.
FOUND: A female chocolate brown lab in Prior Lake on Monday, April 21 with a tag #121175. Call (952) 447-9804 for more information.
FOUND: Male German Shepard (right) on March 28, 2014 near the intersection of Bluebird Tr. NE asd Hummingbird Tr. in Prior Lake. He is neutered, about 75-100 lbs. and about 2-5 years old and is wearing a metal choke collar. He is very friendly and knows commands (down, stay). He is at River Valley Veterinary Service.
LOST: female pug named Star (left) was lost Feb. 19 in the Wilds Golf Course area. She was last seen near Eagle Creek Ave. NE. Star is a timid three year old, spayed and weighs about 15 lbs. LOST: Dog named Oscar (right). Missing since Dec. 10. He is extremely friendly and is wearing red collar with a yellow therapy dog tag. Contact owner Christine at (612) 251-2374.
LOST: Gray, neutered male cat (left) went missing Nov. 27, 2013 at Bluff Heights Tr SE. He has a small white spot on his neck, gold eyes (left) and weighs about 20 lbs. Please call Cyndie (763) 228-6600.
LOST: Black and white male cat named Duncan (right) that is neutered and not declawed. Duncan was last seen Sunday Oct. 27 in the Fish Point Rd. neighborhood. He is extremely friendly. Please call (952) 200-2631.
LOST: Male yellow lab with no collar named Max went missing Oct. 28. He is 90 lbs. Call (952) 220-8991.
FOUND: 5-year-old male, orange and white cat was found the weekend of Oct. 13 off Northwood and Knollridge (left). He is not neutered, but very sweet and house trained. Call (952) 447-9804 for information.
FOUNDA dog was found in Maple Glen in Prior Lake on Oct. 16 (right). Black with some white markings on feet, tail, neck and face. He is wearing a red collar w/ light and electric devise; no tags or identifyinginformation. Friendly and approachable. For information, call (952) 447-9804.
LOST: a two
-year-old gray and white cat named Lola from the 21xxx block of Prairie Hills Ln. in Prior Lake. She has on a pink collar with no tag, is declawed in front and spayed. Last seen Wednesday, Sept 11. Please call Cindi at (952) 200-4811 or 952-292-3675 if found.
FOUND: A tame Blue Cochin chicken was found east of Cleary Lake Regional and south of Murphy-Hanrehan around Sept. 2. Call 4-Paws at (952) 894-9065 for more information.
5-year old female cat named Minnie (right) went missing on Aug. 15 from McKenna and Wilds Ridge NW in the Wilds neighborhood. She is tortoiseshell in color and is not wearing a collar. Call Paul at (612) 599-9473.
LOST: A female cat named cuddles (left) escaped from the 14300 block of Wild's Overlook NW in Prior Lake around July 30. She has half-a-tail, no collar and is very friendly. Call Shelly at (612) 666-4100 or Kenny at (612) 860-1766.
LOST: Large (approx. 17 lbs.), male tabby cat missing since July 30 from the Wood Duck Tr. and the Wilds Pkwy. in the Wilds neighborhood (right). He has a large mole on his nose and a sweet/timid disposition. He is declawed. Call Mike at (612) 270-5487.
(15 lbs. with a 15-inch tail) male, flame point cat with blue eyes named Flicker was lost at Evanston and Dakota Ave. and last seen going toward Hwy 13. He is neutered and very timid outside. His tail is orange and looks dirty (see photo at left). He got out of the house on June 18. Call Kim (612) 209-2796.
LOST: A female Savannah cat named Lucy (right) was lost April 22 on Wilderness Trail in Prior Lake. She is six months old. Call Tara at (952) 297-5880 with information.
LOST: Hobbes (left) went missing Feb. 8 from Pixie Point Circle in Prior Lake. He is black with a prominent white spot centered on his chest. He has a long pouffy tail and a microchip. If you see him contact Elizabeth at (612) 308-7636.
FOUND: Male, short-hair, brown cat with black stripes, green eyes, not de-clawed, not neutered, very sweet temperament.

Protecting Paws Animal Rescue - Foster-based rescue that utilizes boarding if there are no other options. Incorporates training while increasing the adoptability of animals rescued from shelters, pounds and unsafe homes.
Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Animal Control Facility - Open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Carver Scott Humane Society - Is a foster-home-based, volunteer organization serving the southwestern metro area including Carver, Scott and Hennepin counties at (952) 368-3553.

The best tip for making sure your pet is safe and quickly returned is to have it collared and licensed with the City.

The Minnesota Valley Humane Society has a lot of good tips for what to do if you lose your pet, or what to do if you find a stray animal. The best tip is to make sure your pet has a collar and is licensed with the City.
