Lost and Found Pets
The Prior Lake Police Department is providing this webpage to help reunite pets and owners. This service is not equivalent to filing a police report for a missing animal.
To have a LOST or FOUND pet's information posted on this web page, send an email to Mike Peterson with "Lost & Found" in the subject line, or call (952) 447-9804. Include a photo (if possible) with information about when and where the pet was last seen, a description and contact information.
Each posting will remain for one year. Please report back if the missing pet is recovered or owner found.
LOST: All white female Jack Russel named Lola (left) on Dec. 6 from Ottawa Ave in Savage, Minn. She is small, has short hair and no collar. Call Justin with any information at (952) 270-5383.
FOUND: Found a one-year-old brown male dog on Saturday evening Dec. 3 by Carriage Hill Parkway near Knob Hill area. Call Cheryl (952) 212-7527.
LOST: Red and white dog (right) named Koda Bear went missing Nov. 3 from 157th and Cedar in Appley Valley, and was last seen in Lakeville. Call (952) 431-2536 or (612) 756-6516 with any information. A reward is being offered.
FOUND: Large dog, possibly husky/lab found near the County Rd. 42 and Hwy. 13 area of Prior Lake on Wednesday, Sept. 7. Call 4 Paws Animal Control for more information at (952) 894-9065.
LOST: Neutered, black male cat with front paws declawed (left) has been missing since May 26 from the Sunset Hills area (Spruce Cr.). He has a small bump on his eyebrow area and was not wearing collar. Call (952) 220-9988 with any information.
LOST: 13-year-old, all white, male cat (right) named "Jackson" with gray tuft of fur between the ears run out the back door on the 3200 block Wood Duck Dr. NW, in Prior Lake on Saturday July 9. LOST: A very friendly, male, tan and black, 2-year-old puggle named "Louis" was scared by the fireworks on Sunday evening, July 3. He disappeared from a yard in Shakopee off of Marschall Rd. Please call Trudy Oltmanns at (952) 445-1115 with any information.
LOST: A friendly cocker spaniel, red with a short hair cut, named "Cooper," went missing from yard on Martindale St. in Prior Lake on June 1. Is wearing a green invisible fence collar. Please call (952) 445-8725.
LOST: One and a half year year old indoor male cat named Spike was lost May 21 (left) from Flemming Rd. by the corner of Texas Ave. and 185th St. in Prior Lake. He is wearing a black and white collar with skulls on it. Has a very fluffy tail, the letter M on his forehead, and white socks on all feet. Weighs about 15 pounds.No claws in the front and is neutered. If found please call Angie at (651) 368-3608.
Lost: A gray female cat with green eyes (right) named Lucy went missing from the area of 170th St., off Hwy. 13, and Spruce Tr. near Willow P ark in south Prior Lake on May 11. She has a microchip with her owner's address, but is not wearing a collar. Please call Kristen at (732) 754-2749.
FOUND: Black labrador puppy about seven months old, with a purple collar. Call Sue at (952) 457-0280.
LOST: Adult gray-striped tabby missing since the end of July 2010 near Vergus Ave. and Hwy. 13, near Jordan and Spring Lake Township name Pounce (left). She has no claws in front, green eyes, no tags or collar, is spayed and very friendly. She is an outdoor cat and sometimes wanders but has not returned. LOST: Chocolate with white female pit bull terrier with a red collar, no tags named Kitty (right). Missing since Saturday, Feb. 19. Ran away from Panama Ave. (County Rd. 23) and County Rd. 8. Last seen running near County Rd. 64 and maybe with another red-colored dog. Call (952) 461-4117 with any information.
LOST: Gray and white striped male cat (left) with a long, gray-striped tail. Last seen near Cates St. and CJ Circle just southeast of Upper Prior Lake. Call (612) 695-5158 with information.

FOUND: A multi-color, very fluffy and friendly cat (right) was found Tuesday, Dec. 7 on Mushtown Rd. near McDonald's on Hwy. 13 in Prior Lake. Call (952) 226 - 2085 or (612) 718-8994.
LOST: A black dog named Simba (left) was last seen Tuesday night, Nov. 30 in the Spring lake Park area of Prior Lake. He ran away from home. Please call (952) 564-8967 with any information.

Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Animal Control Facility - Open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Call the SMSC Public Works Department at (952) 496-6176. For after hours and weekends call the Mystic Lake Security Dispatch at (952) 496-7222 who will page the person on call.
Carver Scott Humane Society - Is a foster-home-based, volunteer organization serving the southwestern metro area including Carver, Scott and Hennepin counties at (952) 368-3553.
Fido Finder -World-wide alert network that includes registered animal control departments, humane societies, rescue organizations, search/rescue groups, shelters, no-kill shelters and more.

The best tip for making sure your pet is safe and quickly returned is to have it collared and licensed with the City.
