Building Statistics
Building Inspections provides monthly, semiannual and annual reports on citywide building activity to the Prior Lake City Council.
In both 2002 and 2003, the city topped its previous building permitting records, issuing permits for well over 800 units in one of those years before slowing up slightly. In 2004 and 2005, the city was in the midst of a building boom. In 2006, those numbers have again decreased or leveled off.
Building permit applications are expected to climb again in the coming years as new lots are added to the inventory.
