Yard Waste Compost Site Open The SMSC Compost Site, jointly shared by the City, is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents can drop off leaves, grass clippings, brush and branches less than 8 inches in width. Click here for a compost site map.

Firefighter's Chicken Barbeque Come support our firefighters at their annual Chicken BBQ, held at the VFW from 3 - 8p.m. All proceeds will go to the fire Depratment to help fund equipment and operations costs.

Ladies, come bling out at the the Prior Lake VFW from 6-9 p.m. (attendees check in at 5:30). There will be a contest for the lady wearing the most bling and two make-overs will be given as well as goodie bags for all. Minnesota Greatest Generation Film Series On Wednesdays, three 10 minute films will be shown exploring the life and legacy of the greatest generation. This event is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Funds. This event will take place at Club Prior.
September 23
Heroes Among Us: Veterans of WWII Event hosted by the Scott County Historical Society. Come listen to local WWII veterans share first-hand accounts of the war, video footage, and a timeline of events. Author Dave Kenney will give a presentation at 7 p.m. A Q&A and book signing will follow the presentation.
Admission is $4 dollars for adults, $2 for students, and free for SCHS members.
