In the last 65 years, Prior Lake has evolved from a community of fewer than 400 people to a thriving, vibrant Twin Cities suburb with an estimated population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, of 23,261 residents as of April 1, 2011. Households are estimated at 8,653.
