The Economic Development Advisory Committee was created in 2006. It consists of eight members, including two members of the City Council, five city residents and/or city business leaders, and the city manager or his designated staff member.
This committee will offer recommendations to the City Council and its Economic Development Authority on economic development issues, strategy development and implementation. This includes
commenting on business retention and expansion, targeting business recruitment, new business and entrepreneurial development and finding funding sources.
The Economic Development Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet as needed at the start before moving into a quarterly schedule.
