While the possibility of a large disaster in Prior Lake is remote, residents should always know what to do should a threat arise and be prepared to deal with disasters of all sorts more effectively if they do occur.
If a disaster strikes your area you may need to take care of yourself, family, or neighbors until additional help arrives. Careful planning may help you get through that period of time. Perhaps a storm causes a power outage or a hazardous materials incident occurs and you’re asked to leave the area. A preplanned kit of supplies is one of the strategies you can use to help keep you safe and comfortable. Click on Ready Gov for how and why you should establish family emergency communication.
