Lakefront Days is a four-day celebration of fun-filled activities that features large groups of people converging on beautiful Lakefront Park. Expect great summer weather and a festive atmosphere. Many of last year’s favorite fun activities return along with some new things to enjoy for the whole family.  Thursday, Aug. 4

• Business Expo, Wine Tasting and Silent Auction ( 6:30 to 9 p.m.) Must be 21 or older. Silent Auction ends at 8:15 p.m. under the big tents at Lakefront Park. Come early and get a bite to eat. Tickets are $10 from Viking Liquor Barrel (corner of County Rd. 21 and Hwy. 13) and $15 at the door. Proceeds go to fireworks on Saturday.

 Friday, Aug. 5

Note: There is no parking in the park this day except for car show participants. Instead, park downtown and take the Laker Lines Free Shuttle Bus Service operating 6 p.m. to midnight.

• Annual Teddy Bear Picnic with the Splatter Sisters

(10:30 a.m. and noon) bring a teddy bear and a picnic lunch to the west lawn of the Prior Lake Library. The Splatter Sisters present “30 Books in 30 Minutes." All ages welcome.

• Inflatables and Games (4 - dusk) unlimited wristbands for $7

• Food (4 p.m. - midnight)

• Classic Car SHOW (check-in at 4:30, show begins at 5 p.m.) at Lakefront Park with $5 registrations

• Helicopter Rides (5 p.m.- dusk)

• Laker Variety Show (6 - 9:30 p.m.) at the Lakefront Bandshell

• Music by Steve Millar and Diamondhead (8 p.m. to midnight) sponsored by Mediacom

• Sober Cab (10 p.m. - 1 a.m.) sponsored by Valley Limo & Coach.

 Saturday, Aug. 6

• Dakotah! Sport and Fitness Lakefront Days Triathlon (8 a.m.) at Cleary Lake Regional Park. Co-sponsored by the City of Prior Lake and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. Visit the Dakotah! Sport and Fitness Website for more information.

• Fun Run at Lakefront Park (8 a.m.) Sponsored by Beyond Yellow Ribbon-SOTR

• Family Fishing Event at Little Prior (10 a.m. - noon) with the DNR

• Prior Lake Skipper/Sailorette Crowning (10:45 a.m.)

• Inflatables and Games (11 a.m. - dusk) $10 for unlimited inflatables.

• Kiddie Parade (11 a.m.) registration at 10:30. For kids under 10. Decorate your bike, tricycle, wagon and come on out. Registration required at the Chamber of Commerce website. Sponsored by Prior Lake River Valley YMCA.

• Bean Bag Toss Family Tourney (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

• Kids' Frozen T-shirt Contest (11:20 a.m.) Sponsored by Prior Lake River Valley YMCA

• Helicopter Rides (noon - 9 p.m.)

• Lakefront Days Parade (begins at 1:30 p.m.) Starts at St. Michael’s parking lot, goes along Duluth Ave. to County Rd. 21 to Main Ave. to Lakefront Park.

• Food from Area Restaurants (11 a.m.- 11 p.m.)

• Bean Bag Toss 16+ Tourney (3:30 p.m.)

• Laker Idol (3:30 - 9:30 p.m.)

• Family Movie The movie "Yogi Bear" at the Lakefront Park Bandshell (8:30 p.m.)
• Fireworks (10 p.m.) For safety, Watzl's beach is closed for the fireworks display.

 Sunday, Aug. 7

• 3rd Lair Skateboard Contest (10 a.m.) sponsored by City of Prior Lake

• Prior Lake Association's 11th annual Family Fishing Tournament at Captain Jack's. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.; tournament (11 a.m. - 2 p.m.); weigh-in at 2 p.m. at Captain Jack's. Trophies and cash prizes are awarded for each of the three largest fish from six species along with door prizes for all children entered in the tourney.

• Water Ski Show at Watzl's Beach (1 - 3 p.m.) Sponsored by City of Prior Lake
