Lakefront Days a four-day celebration of fun-filled activities that features large groups of people converging on beautiful Lakefront Park. Expect great summer weather and a festive atmosphere. Many of last year’s favorite fun activities return along with some new things to enjoy for the whole family. The Medallion has been found!

The Lakefront Days Medallion Hunt began on Saturday, July 17 with the first clue published on the official medallion hunt website and in the Prior Lake American newspaper. Click below for the official medallion hunt website:

Clues appeared at 8 a.m. every Saturday and Wednesday until the medallion was found on Saturday, July 31 around 9 a.m. The finders received $200 and could be in the Lakefront Days parade.


Thursday, Aug. 5

Business Expo, Wine Tasting ( 6:30 to 9 p.m.) Must be 21 or older. Includes Silent Auction ending at 8:15 p.m. are under the big tents at Lakefront Park. Come early and get a bite to eat. Tickets are $10 from Viking Liquor Barrel (corner of County Rd. 21 and Hwy. 13) and $15 at the door. Proceeds go to Teen and Family Movie Nights.

Music by Minneapolis Police Band (7 p.m.) at the Lakefront Bandshell.


 Friday, Aug. 6

Note: There is no parking in the park this day except for car show participants. Instead, park downtown and take the Laker Lines Free Shuttle Bus Service operating 6 p.m. to midnight.
Teddy Bear Picnic featuring theTeddy Bear Band  

(11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.) at the Prior Lake Library.

Non-profit Food Tent (4 p.m.) to benefit community programs.

Inflatable Games (4 - dusk) unlimited wristbands for $7

Classic Car SHOW (check-in at 4:30, show begins at 5 p.m.) at Lakefront Park with $5 registrations.

Note: There is no cruise this year.

Helicopter Rides (5 - 9 p.m.)

Laker Variety Show (6 - 8:30 p.m.) at the Lakefront Bandshell

Music by Steve Millar and Diamondhead (8 p.m. to midnight)

Teen Movie "Transformers" at the Lakefront Band Shell (9:15 p.m.)

Sober Cab (10 p.m. - 1 a.m.) sponsored by Valley Limo & Coach.

- Take the Laker Lines Free Shuttle Bus Service (6 p.m. - midnight)

Park at Twin Oaks Middle School or downtown at the Police Station, Library,

Holy Trinity Church, Municipal Lot on Colorado St. or on-street downtown.

Dakotah! Sport and Fitness Lakefront Days Triathlon (8 a.m.) at Cleary Lake Regional Park City. Co-sponsored by the City of Prior Lake and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. Visit the Dakota! Sport and Fitness Website for more information.

BRX Bootcamp (8 a.m.)

Pancake Breakfast (9 - 11:30 a.m.) at Lakefront Park. Visit sponsor Integra Telecom for discount tickets.

Prior Lake Skipper/Sailorette Crowning (10:45 a.m.)

Inflatables Games (11 a.m. - dusk) $10 for unlimited inflatables.

Kiddie Parade (11 a.m.) registration at 10:30. For kids under 10. Decorate your bike, tricycle, wagon and come on out. Registration required at the Chamber of Commerce website.

Kids' Frozen T-shirt Contest (11:20 a.m.)

Family Fishing Event at Little Prior in Lakefront Park (11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.)

2010 National USATOWA Tug-of-War Tournament (1 p.m.)

Lakefront Days Parade (begins at 1:30 p.m.) Starts at St. Michael’s parking lot, goes along Duluth Ave. to County Rd. 21 to Main Ave. to Lakefront Park.

Taste of the Lake Food from Area Restaurants (2 p.m. - midnight)

Entertainment Tent features...

     - Laker Idol (3 - 7:30 p.m.)

     - Music by Danette Daniels Band (8:30 p.m. - midnight)

Fireworks (9:15 p.m.) For safety, Watzl's beach is closed for the fireworks display.

Family Movie "Monsters vs. Aliens" (9:30 p.m.) at the Lakefront bandshell. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Skateboard Contest (10 a.m.)

Prior Lake Association's 10th annual Family Fishing Tournament at Captain Jack's. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.; tournament (11 a.m. - 2 p.m.); weigh-in at 2 p.m. at Captain Jack's. Trophies and cash prizes are awarded for each of the three largest fish from six species along with door prizes for all children entered in the tourney.
