04-21-2018: Fire Department 79th Annual Spring Dance

The Prior Lake Fire Relief Association is hosting the 79th Annual Spring Dance at the Prior Lake V.F.W., 16306 Main Ave. SE, on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 8 – 11:30 p.m. with LIVE music provided by The Shaw Brothers.  For more information and to donate, visit https://www.facebook.com/PriorLakeFire/.  Donations will also be accepted at the door.  Donations received from this event provide funds for equipment acquisitions, exercise equipment for fire stations, annual department photos to maintain heritage, as well as an annual dinner for retired firefighters in recognition of their service. Please help support our local firefighters and in exchange enjoy good music, good company and good fun!

04-28-2018: Arbor Day Tree Sale

The biennial Arbor Day Tree Sale will take place rain or shine on April 28, from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Savage Public Works Facility, 13770 Dakota Ave. Residents of Prior Lake, Savage, Spring Lake Township and Credit River Township are invited to purchase a variety of shade, ornamental and evergreen trees on a first-come first-serve basis with prices ranging from $28 - $91. Pre-order trees online by April 6 to guarantee availability and skip the check-out line! The Arbor Day Celebration takes place concurrently at the McColl Pond Environmental Learning and Event Center, 13550 Dakota Ave., Savage.  Mayor Janet Williams will kick-off the event followed by free activities including honey bee, raptors, and master gardeners presentations and much more!  Volunteers are needed to assist with nature activities, serve refreshments, and more. The Prior Lake Rotary Club and the Prior Lake Lions Club will sponsor a Bridging event on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lunds parking lot, 16731 Highway 13 in Prior Lake (corner of Duluth Ave. and Hwy 13). Bridging is the collection of usable household items for those in need. Items may be delivered at time and location. The Rotary may also pick up some items including larger items in Prior Lake, Spring Lake Township and Credit River Township, call (952) 447-1330. There is no charge to donate items to Bridging. Did you know that the 13-21 Downtown Improvements project will be built in conjunction with the TH13 Reconstruction Project to Hwy 282 & Langford Ave.? Please join us to review the draft construction staging plans for these projects as well as the Duluth Ave. Intersection Improvements Project. Project representatives will be present to answer questions for all three projects. Presented materials will illustrate the draft sequencing and timing of construction. Draft streetscape concepts will also be on display at this open house for your information and input.
