Memorial Day Service and Parade will be Held May 29

The community Memorial Day Parade and Service will be on Monday, May 29, 2017.  The Parade and Service is a joint community event in cooperation with the Prior Lake VFW Post #6208, it’s Auxiliary, the City of Prior Lake and Prior Lake Savage Area Schools.  Parade line-up is in the VFW parking lot at 8:30 AM with the parade starting at 9 AM.  WEATHER PERMITTING.  The parade route will go north on Main Ave, crossing Hwy 13 at County Rd 44.  All parade units will continue east on County Rd 44 ending at Twin Oaks Middle School.

This year the Memorial Day Service will start at approximately 9:45 AM inside the auditorium of Twin Oaks Middle School, good or bad weather.  We intend to have sufficient and reasonably comfortable seating for all desiring to attend along with a suitable public address system so all can hear. Besides a welcome message from Mayor Kirt Briggs and a keynote address by Colonel Terry Branham who served 26 years active duty in the US Army and retired as a Colonel and Master Army Aviator.
