Snowmobiling in Prior Lake
To preserve Prior Lake's investment in its downtown streets, the City strictly enforces its snowmobile ordinance. This Snowmobile Announcement has key information about the ordinance and the Sno-trails Map indicates areas in and around the city where snowmobiles are permitted. The Scott County Snow Trails Map features all county trails, park & rides, signage and more.
In November 2007 the City Council examined snowmobile trails in Prior Lake and made modifications for County Rd. 21, Franklin Tr. and County Rd. 82 (see map) and recommended new signage. The council also requested that the trail modifications be examined in the spring to see if more changes to the trails needed to be made.
