City Road and Utility Projects

The city will be working on reconstruction in the Brooksville Hills area and on Ida Cr. in 2008. There is also information on street seal coating, crack seal, overlay and striping. See below for information about both projects.

The Brooksville Hills Area is proposed for reconstruction in 2008. Phase I will include Brooks Cr., Fillmore Ave., Franklin Tr. and Itasca Ave.  Phase II will be reconstructed in 2009 and includes Franklin Cr., Itasca Ave., Mandan Ave., Robinson Cr., and Summer St.  For more information, click on The Construction Zone newsletter regarding this project or view the project area map.


The reconstruction of the Brooksville Hills neighborhood begins with the closure of Franklin Tr. at Brooks Cr. from April 21 – June 21. The Contractor will begin with the deep sanitary sewer at the intersection of Franklin Tr. and Brooks Cr. Once completed, new watermain and storm sewer improvements are needed followed by street upgrades and restoration.


As part of the project, a driveway guideline has been established for those interested in replacing their existing driveways.

Ida Circle Reconstruction

Ida Circle reconstruction includes storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, concrete curb and gutter, aggregate base, bituminous surfacing, and appurtenant work and will be funded through assessments, tax levy, and theTrunk Sewer and Water Fund. The project begins April 21, 2008. Work should be complete by mid-June.

Street Overlays

The largest improvement will be the street overlay project for Wilds Parkway, Pine View Dr., Whitetail Ridge and Wilds View scheduled for June. The Wilds Parkway overlay is the second phase of three years of scheduled overlay improvements.

Seal Coating and Crake Sealing

Residential street seal coating will take place in early June. Pavement crack sealing is scheduled for many areas throughout the community.
