Looking for a break from the hassles of bumper-to-bumper traffic and lack of parking in downtown Minneapolis? Try Laker Lines, the city of Prior Lake's transit service. Check out the latest Lake Lines newsletter for information.
The city has a Park-and-Ride at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 13760 McKenna Road NW, on the Shepherd's Path campus and at Southbridge Crossings in Shakopee served by BlueXpress. BlueXpress is a joint service between Shakopee Transit and Laker Lines. There is also a convenient park-and-ride at the Southbridge Crossings Transit Station at County Rd. 18 and Crossings Blvd.
Laker Lines buses roll year-round with the exception of New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Buses continue to roll up Highway 169 to Interstate Highway 394 en route to downtown Minneapolis. View the Lake Lines/BlueXpress route map. Pick-up and drop-off times are as follows:

Local Laker Link Circulator and Shuttle ended July 31 |
The Prior Lake Circulator Bus Service will run next year (2008) from early June to late July; it is no longer offered for 2007. It will be $1 per ride and run Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To keep travel times down, the city uses two buses as shown in the 2007 Local Laker Link Map and Schedule. One for the north (BLUE) loop; the other for the south (RED) loop. Both buses stop at the most popular summer locations. If you would like to ride the bus but can’t make it to a stop, you can also flag the bus down anywhere along the route. For more details, call (952) 447-4230. Fares are $1 for each circulator bus ride in the Prior Lake system. Correct fare is required. Drivers do not make change. Local Laker Link punch cards are also accepted.
The Prior Lake Local Laker Link Shuttle Service is FREE and will transport riders to popular destinations such as Valleyfair, the Scott County Workforce Development Center, the Southbridge development and much more. The 2007 Local Laker Link Map and Schedule also has a map and schedule.
